We know The Home Ed Daily is not the be all and end-all of all things home ed. There are many other online resources out there, so we have collected a range of sites we encourage you to engage with. These should provide answers to any questions you may have. Links to online learning resources can be found here.
Education Otherwise
Education Otherwise is the foremost Charity across England and Wales that promotes and supports the right of a parent or guardian to home educate their child. They offer a range of services and tailored H.E. information. They have handy fact sheets under the 'experienced' tab and even a helpline.
Educational Freedom
Educational Freedom is a non-profit organisation providing free H.E. info and support. It has lots of helpful advice, including templates for de-registration letters, and dealing with your LA (Local Authority).
HEFA
HEFA (home education for all) is a Facebook group rather than a website - but it is probably the most useful and comprehensive HE resource I've found. It's worth joining Facebook just to access it. They have extensive 'guides' on every aspect of home education.
Ed Yourself
Ed Yourself is a home education consultancy - it provides an up-to-date analysis of the key areas of elective home education practice and policy. If you have a question relating to H.E. law, it will be covered here - click on its 'site map' for a comprehensive list.
The HE Byte
HE Byte posts short articles summarising recent news and events relating to home ed, trying to draw out the most important aspects and suggesting ways that readers might take appropriate action.
HE UK
Home ed site by the Educational Heretics Press.
Home Ed Exams Wiki
The Home Ed Exams Wiki is a site all about qualifications for home-educated students. They support home educators at all stages of their journey through the exams maze. Whether you are completely new and wondering where to start, or more experienced and wanting resource links or revision ideas.
Young Minds UK
Young Minds UK is a mental health charity for children, young people, and their parents.
Progressive Education
This online hub explores progressive approaches to education and has a directory of progressive schools and learning communities in the UK.
Twinkl Home Ed
Free downloadable beginners' guide to home education in the UK. There are lots of other home education resources too.
Elective Home Education - Parents Guide
The current government legal guidelines for home educating in the UK.
