Share your home educating story with The Home Ed Daily
The home education community is full of incredible families, each with their own story, challenges, and triumphs. Together, we have a real opportunity to shape how home education is seen - by sharing the honest, positive experiences that rarely make it into mainstream media.
Why your voice matters
The Home Ed Daily isn’t a business. It’s a labour of love, run by me - an unpaid, home-ed parent who wants to give our community a stronger, more positive voice.
Many Facebook groups sadly decline my posts about the site, thinking it’s promotional. To be completely transparent: any links or banner ads on the website have earned exactly £0 so far! (If you know what I’m doing wrong, please tell me 😆)
In truth, I spend more than I make keeping this platform running, because I believe in the value of free information, honest stories, and genuine community. While some sites charge for content—or even publish articles suspiciously similar to mine, likely rewritten by AI - everything here is created by real people, for real home educators.
This isn’t about self-promotion. It’s about citizen journalism, telling the real stories of home education from those living it every day. And that’s where you come in.
Why share your story?
Change the narrative
The media often highlights only the negatives. By sharing your experience, you help show what home education truly looks like—diverse, creative, and full of life.
Inspire others
Your story might encourage a family just starting out, reassure someone having doubts, or spark new ideas for seasoned home educators.
Celebrate our community
No two journeys are the same, but together, we can show the world the richness, warmth, and freedom that home education brings.
If you’ve ever thought, “I wish people understood home education better,” this is your chance to help make that happen.
Parent bloggers
If you write about parenting, family life, or alternative education and would like to collaborate, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you’d like to guest post, take part in a feature, or explore other creative ideas. I welcome collaborative, cross-promotional opportunities with like-minded creators who care deeply about supporting families.
Home-ed parents
Have a story to tell or something that might help others on their journey? I’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s a personal reflection, tried-and-tested tips, practical routines, or themed pieces (like “a day in our life”). Guest articles from home-educating parents are always welcome — and if there’s no commercial promotion or external links involved, they’re published for free. It’s a great way to share your voice and support others in the community.
